Nisga'a Memorial Lava Bed Provincial Park


NISGA'A MEMORIAL LAVA BED PROVINCIAL PARK, 1,768.3 sq km, is near the town of GITLAKDAMIKS (New Aiyansh) about 105 km north of TERRACE at the NASS R. It features a vast lava plain created by a volcanic eruption in about 1700. The lava flow destroyed 2 NISGA'A villages and diverted the Nass R.
