Palling

PALLING, a farming (see AGRICULTURE) settlement and GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY station on the Endako R, 20 km northwest of BURNS LAKE, was first settled in the 1910s by the Carroll brothers, who also supplied major quantities of ties to the railway. William Lukens opened a store in 1920. There is a WET'SUWET'EN (Carrier) community at nearby Broman Lk. Palling is named after a town in England.
