PRINCE LINE of coastal steamships belonged to the Grand Trunk Pacific Steamship Co, incorporated in 1910, a subsidiary of the GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY. The Prince ships inaugurated regular passenger service between PRINCE RUPERT and the South Coast. The Prince George and the Prince Rupert were large luxury vessels and competed with the CPR's PRINCESS LINE.
