VASEUX LAKE  () , 2.75 sq km, 14.5 km north of OLIVER in the S OKANAGAN VALLEY, is one of Canada's finest birdwatching areas. A federal wildlife and migratory bird sanctuary, it is an oasis of greenery in the surrounding desert-like terrain.
