Westbank


WESTBANK, pop 32,655 (2016), is a community overlooking the west side of OKANAGAN LK 12 km south and west of KELOWNA. It was on the FUR BRIGADE route used by traders from 1826 to 1847. Settlement began in the 1870s and the community was known as Westside or Hall's Landing until the present name was chosen. A townsite was laid out in 1905 by Ulysses G.
