Daedalus Passage


Daedalus Passage (50˚44'00" 127˚24'00" W side of Beaver Hbr, just E of Port Hardy, NE end of Vancouver I). HMS Daedalus was launched in 1826 as a 46-gun, 1,312-tonne frigate but was rebuilt in 1843 and reduced to 20 guns. It served on the Pacific Station in 1850–51 under Capt George Wellesley.
