Davie Bay

Davie Bay (49˚36'00" 124˚23'00" W side of Texada I, Str of Georgia), Mount Davies (49˚35'54" 124˚19'12" E of Davie Bay, Texada I). Both Davie Bay and Mt Davies may be corruptions of the surname of millwright John Coyne Davis (1842–1924), who was born in Ont and came to Nanaimo in 1875. He built a schooner on Texada I many years ago.
