Davies Shoal


Davies Shoal (53˚01'00" 131˚44'00" SE of McLellan I, Cumshewa Inlet, NE Moresby I, QCI). Capt A M Davies was a frequent skipper of the Prince John, which operated in the QCI from 1911 to 1940 for the GTP Coast Steamship Co and Canadian National Steamships (and was then bought by the Union Steamship Co and renamed Cassiar II). 1n 1910 he also served aboard GTP’s Prince Rupert. In the 1920s, Davies was an examiner for master’s and mate’s licences in Victoria.
