De Courcy Group (49˚06'00" 123˚45'00" Between Stuart Channel and Pylades Channel, S of Gabriola I, Gulf Is), De Courcy Island (One of the De Courcy Group, between Link I and Ruxton I). Capt Michael de Courcy served on the Pacific Station, 1859–60, as cdr of HMS Pylades. In 1866, as a commodore, he had command of the southern division of the Pacific Station, aboard HMS Leander.
