Delkatla Inlet


Delkatla Inlet (54˚01'00" 132˚08'00" Extends NE from Masset Hbr, N end of Graham I, QCI). The inlet is really a drying basin, known locally as Delkatla Slough. It is bordered by grasslands (the Delkatla Flats) that were the site of the region’s first farm, established in 1890 by Rev Charles Harrison, former Anglican missionary at Masset. Delkatla is also a part of Masset, on the SE side of the entrance to the inlet, where Charles Wilson first proposed a townsite in 1911. According to...
