Dennie Point


Dennie Point (50˚30'00" 126˚00'00" N side of Blenkinsop Bay, Johnstone Str). Mary Dennie Blenkinsop (1861–90) was a daughter of HBC officer George Blenkinsop (see Blenkinsop Bay). In Oct 1885, at Victoria, she married John Hicks (1850–1885), from Cornwall, the bookkeeper at the Alert Bay cannery. Less than three weeks later he was killed in a bizarre incident at Victoria.
