Denny Rocks


Denny Rocks (52˚10'00" 131˚07'00" Entrance to Rose Inlet, S end of Moresby I, QCI). Edward Denny (d 1893) was on the BC coast in 1853 as a midshipman aboard HMS Virago under Capt James Prevost, who named this feature. The following year, Denny was present at the siege of Petropavlovsk on Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula, and he also served in the Mediterranean before retiring from the RN as a lt in the mid-1860s.
