Denton Point


Denton Point (52˚44'00" 128˚27'00" N entrance to Wallace Bight, NW end of Roderick I, N of Bella Bella). In 1948, a number of points on Roderick I were named for BC historians. Vernon Llewellyn Denton (1881–1944) was principal of Victoria’s Provincial Normal School and author of The Far West Coast, an account of BC coastal exploration published in 1924. He also wrote and edited history and geography textbooks for Canadian schools.
