Dimsey Point


Dimsey Point (51˚27'00" 127˚44'00" S end of Joachim I, entrance to Rivers Inlet). D G Dimsey was a civilian assistant at the Admiralty hydrographic dept, 1870–95, and never even glimpsed the BC coast. Named in 1871 by George Richards, who spent many years on BC coastal surveys but by this time was a rear adm and hydrographer of the RN.
