Dodger Channel


Dodger Channel (48˚50'16" 125˚12'00" W side of Diana I, between Trevor Channel and Imperial Eagle Channel, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). A small geographic feature at the N end of Diana I was named Dodger Cove in 1861 by RN surveyor Capt George Richards of HMS Hecate because it was a good place to “dodge” bad weather. He was referring more specifically to the schooner Saucy Lass, which dodged the weather there for several weeks that year with Capt Charles Stuart and Capt Edward King...
