Donegal Head


Donegal Head (50˚38'00" 126˚49'00" E end of Malcolm I, Queen Charlotte Str). HMS Donegal, under Capt Pulteney Malcolm, was a 74-gun ship of the line and a member of Adm Lord Nelson’s fleet blockading the Spanish port of Cadiz prior to the 1805 Battle of Trafalgar. It was formerly the French vessel Hoche, taken as a prize of war, and saw action with the RN against a French fleet in the W Indies and off the French coast. W
