Dougan Point


Dougan Point (53˚03'00" 129˚19'00" SE Campania I, Caamaño Sd). James Dougan (1835–1915), born in Ireland, came to Cobble Hill in the Cowichan area in the late 1860s and farmed, eventually acquiring nearly 400 ha of land and running a large dairy herd. He also had a contract for many years to keep a section of the Goldstream Trail open.
