Douglas Point


Douglas Point (49˚27'30" 124˚16'30" S side of Lasqueti I, Str of Georgia). George and Mary Emma Douglas (née Purser) came to Lasqueti I in 1911 from Saltspring I with their five children in tow. They bought land overlooking this point and became an important part of the Lasqueti community. George logged and also operated a fish packer; Emma was an island midwife.
