Douglas Rock (54˚10'00" 132˚57'00" Off N shore of Graham I, QCI). The fur trader and mariner William Douglas made a number of early voyages to the PNW, 1788–91. He travelled to the QCI in 1788 as capt of the Iphigenia Nubiana, a ship belonging to John Meares and the Merchant Proprietors, and again the following year, though by this time the Iphigenia was owned by a larger consortium known as the Associated Merchants.
