Drury Inlet


Drury Inlet (50˚54'00" 127˚03'00" NW of Broughton I, NE of Port Hardy). Cdr Byron Drury (1815–88) took charge of HMS Pandora in 1848 after the survey vessel completed its work in southern BC under Lt Cdr James Wood. The Pandora, under Drury, served on the Australia Station, 1850–56. Drury had earlier been present on the BC coast as a lt aboard HMS Herald, under Capt Henry Kellett.
