Incinerator Rock


Incinerator Rock (49˚04'20" 125˚45'58" N end of Long Beach, SE of Tofino, W side of Vancouver I). During WWII the Canadian Army and RCAF maintained an incinerator on Long Beach adjacent to this feature. It was used to burn trash from Tofino’s air base and the area’s army camps. Only the concrete foundation remains.
