Ramillies Channel


Ramillies Channel (49˚31'00" 123˚20'00" Between Gambier I and Anvil I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). HMS Ramillies, a 74-gun ship of the line under Capt Henry Harvey, took part in the 1794 British naval victory known as the Glorious First of June. During the battle, Harvey helped his brother, Capt John Harvey of HMS Brunswick, destroy the French vessel Vengeur.
