Rawlinson Anchorage


Rawlinson Anchorage (53˚35'00" 130˚33'00" S of Griffith Hbr, W side of Banks I). After returning from overseas service in WWI, George Rawlinson joined the Canadian Hydrographic Service and worked as a launch driver aboard the W coast survey vessel Lillooet in the early 1920s. In the autumn of 1920, while caught in a storm, Rawlinson and his launch took refuge in this anchorage.
