Reynard Point


Reynard Point (48˚43'50" 123˚19'49" NW tip of Moresby I, SW of N Pender I, Gulf Is). This feature is probably named after members of the Reynard family, who were early pioneers on the Saanich Peninsula. Anglican minister James Reynard (1829–75), from Yorkshire, served at Barkerville during the gold rush in the late 1860s and built St Saviour’s church there, which still stands.
