Richardson Bluff


Richardson Bluff (48˚45'00" 123˚14'00" W side of S Pender I, Gulf Is). Gerald Francis Richardson (1873–1932) was a pioneer settler on S Pender I, coming out to BC in the 1890s and forming a business partnership with his friend Charles Long. The pair attempted, unsuccessfully, to drive a flock of sheep to the Klondike in 1898. Richardson built a home on S Pender in 1912 and farmed on his property after serving in France in WWI.
