Richardson Range


Richardson Range (52˚41'00" 128˚54'00" E of Kent Inlet, SW Princess Royal I). George Richardson (1826–1922) was born in Kent, England, and immigrated, along with 79 others, to Victoria in 1850 on board the HBC supply vessel Norman Morison. The HBC’s new medical officer, Dr John Helmcken, was a shipmate on the same voyage. By 1920, Helmcken and Richardson were the only two survivors of the journey still alive.
