Undetermined Hydroids

A large number of hydroids inhabit the Pacific Northwest but many are difficult to identify without a microscope and the technical experience to use a jargon-intensive biological key. Even with specimens to examine, such a task is challenging. When only photographs are available, the process can be virtually impossible.
Therefore, the unsampled and undetermined hydroids in the following photographs appear with only captions and illustrate additional diversity within the group.
