JELLIES

Including schyphomedusae, hydromedusae, jellyfish, sea nettle and lion’s mane (the by-the-wind sailor is a floating hydroid).

 

At least 15 other species of small jellies have been documented from the Pacific Northwest. To sight any of these nomads drifting about in an incredibly huge oceanic expanse is truly serendipitous.
