BC Book Prizes


BC BOOK PRIZES, established in 1985 and first awarded to books published in 1984, are awarded annually to the best books written by BC authors and/or published by BC companies during the previous year. In the first year there were 4 prizes; now there are 6: the Sheila EGOFF Children's Literature Prize, the Hubert EVANS Non-Fiction Prize, the Roderick HAIG-BROWN Regional Prize, the Dorothy LIVESAY Poetry Prize, the Ethel WILSON Fiction Prize and the Bill DUTHIE Booksellers' Choice Award.
