BROADFOOT, Barry Samuel, writer (b 21 Jan 1926, Winnipeg; d 28 Nov 2003, Nanaimo). After wartime infantry service he graduated from the Univ of Manitoba in 1949. His career with various Canadian NEWSPAPERS began at the Winnipeg Tribune, culminating in many years with the VANCOUVER SUN.
