Coe-Jones, Dawn


COE-JONES, Dawn, golfer (b 19 Oct 1960, Campbell River). The daughter of a Lake Cowichan logger, she was BC junior women's GOLF champion in 1978–79, BC amateur champion in 1982–83 and Canadian amateur champion in 1983. After golfing at Lamar Univ in Texas, where she was an all-American in 1983, she turned professional and joined the LPGA tour. By 1990 she was among the tour's top 20 players, finishing eleventh in earnings that year with $240,000. Her first tour victory came 2 years later...
