Glenrosa

GLENROSA, a farming district (see AGRICULTURE) 14 km southwest of KELOWNA on the west side of OKANAGAN LK, is on the hillside above WESTBANK. It was first settled in the early 1900s. Curtis and Louis Hitchner established a SAWMILL and store and sold real estate here in the 1910s. They picked this name for their property after postal authorities turned down Glencoe, their first choice.
