MacPHERSON, Fraser J., musician (b 1928, Winnipeg, MB; d 28 Sept 1993, Vancouver). He moved to BC as a boy and after a short stint at UBC and 18 months studying music in New York he became, in his early 20s, the bandleader at the Cave Supper Club in downtown VANCOUVER. An accomplished tenor and alto saxophonist, he formed the Fraser MacPherson Trio JAZZ group in 1975 after years of studio and radio work.
