NORTH VANCOUVER DISTRICT, pop 88,168 (2021), overlooks the north side of BURRARD INLET across from downtown VANCOUVER. Originally the territory of the MUSQUEAM and SQUAMISH First Nations, it attracted the interest of non-aboriginals in the 1860s when LOGGING began.
