Passage Island

PASSAGE ISLAND, 13 ha, sits in the entrance to HOWE SOUND between POINT ATKINSON and BOWEN ISLAND, just north of VANCOUVER. It was named by Capt George VANCOUVER during his 1792 survey of the sound. Rugged and windswept, the island was owned for many years by J.C. Keith, former reeve of N VANCOUVER. It was purchased from the Keith family in 1959 and eventually subdivided into lots for about 2 dozen homes.
