Sullivan

SULLIVAN, 13 km southeast of NEW WESTMINSTER in the City of SURREY, was originally known as Johnston's Settlement after James Johnston, who arrived in 1866. Thomas and Henry Sullivan came in the early 1900s. They farmed and logged, opened a store and post office and built shingle and lumber mills that employed 125 people. Sullivan was a station along BC ELECTRIC RWY CO's INTERURBAN line.
