King Cove


King Cove (52˚18'00" 128˚24'00" W side of Cecilia I, Milbanke Sd). Named for Harriet Nice Holmes, who married Capt Edward Hammond King in England in 1854. The couple came to Victoria in 1859 with their children, but Edward, who published some of BC’s earliest newspapers, was killed in a hunting accident in 1861 (see Edward King I).
