AINSWORTH LUMBER CO is a diversified wood products company founded by the Ainsworth family in 1952. Based in VANCOUVER, in 2013 the company had 710 employees producing strand board and solid-wood products at operations in 100 MILE HOUSE, Alberta and Ontario. That same year Ainsworth was purchased for just over one billion dollars by the US-owned forest giant Louisiana Pacific Corp. See also FOREST PRODUCTS.
