ALLAN, ROBERT LTD is a leading firm of naval architects founded in VANCOUVER in 1930 by Robert Allan Sr. Allan had immigrated to BC from his native Scotland in 1919 to work at Wallace Shipyards (see BURRARD DRY DOCK), where he designed the PRINCESS LOUISE, the first steel passenger steamer built in the province.
