BC HISTORICAL FEDERATION was organized in 1922 as the BC Historical Association to record and publish provincial histories, to mark and preserve historic sites and to collect and display artifacts. It began producing a quarterly publication in 1927: originally BC Historical Quarterly, then a newsletter, and since 1980 the magazine BC Historical News, now BC History.
