BAKER, MOUNT (el 3,285 m) is a familiar sight from much of the Lower Mainland on clear days. Its snow-covered sides shimmer in the sunshine to the southeast of VANCOUVER just across the Canada–US border in Washington state. It is the most northerly and isolated of 11 volcanoes in the CASCADE MTS that have erupted in the past 250 years.
