BALDRY, "Long" John (b 12 Jan 1941, Bakewell, England; d 21 July 2005, Vancouver). A legendary figure in the development of British pop music, he served as mentor to some of rock'n'roll's biggest stars before moving to Toronto in 1980, then VANCOUVER in 1985, where he continued his music career.
