BARNARD, Francis Stillman, businessman/politician, lt gov 1914–19 (b 16 May 1856, Toronto; d 11 Apr 1936, Victoria). He was brought west to the CARIBOO in 1861 by his father, Francis Jones BARNARD, who ran a stage line between the Lower Mainland and the Interior.
