BARNHARTVALE is 14 km east of KAMLOOPS on Campbell Crk, which was the original name for the area. P.A. Barnhart, conductor of the first CPR transcontinental to reach Kamloops, and later a homesteader and postmaster here, bestowed his own name on the settlement in 1909.
