BARR, David, golfer (13 Apr 1952, Kelowna). He was the first Canadian to top $2 million in career earnings on the professional GOLF tour. After attending Oral Roberts Univ in Oklahoma, where he earned second-team all-American honours, he turned professional in 1974 and earned his first important win the next year at the BC Open.
