BENNETT, William "Ol' Bill," labour journalist (b 1881, Greenock, Scotland; d 31 Dec 1949, Vancouver). He immigrated to BC in 1907 and opened a barber shop in downtown VANCOUVER. He was a member of the Socialist Party of Canada and contributed regularly to the party paper, the Western Clarion.
