Big Eddy

BIG EDDY, 3 km west of REVELSTOKE on the CPR, was a small settlement named after a turbulent current nearby in the COLUMBIA R. It was the site of an early SAWMILL, built in 1893 by Dan Robinson and J.C. Steen, that manufactured ties and timbers for the railway until 1910, when it burned down.
