BLOMFELD, James, stained-glass designer (b 1872, Maidenhead, England; d 1951, Toronto). In 1889 he arrived in BC, where his father Henry Bloomfield established a plumbing and art glass business in NEW WESTMINSTER with his two sons, James (who later altered his last name as a tribute to his English ancestors) and Charles.
