Branca, Angelo Ernest

BRANCA, Angelo Ernest, criminal lawyer, judge (b 21 Mar 1903, Mt Sicker, Vancouver Island; d 3 Oct 1984, Vancouver). He was the son of an immigrant Italian miner who moved to VANCOUVER and became a successful grocer/food importer. Branca studied law and began practising in the city in 1926. To keep fit he took up BOXING and he eventually won the Canadian amateur middleweight championship.
