BROCKTON POINT in STANLEY PARK juts out into VANCOUVER's inner harbour east of the LIONS GATE BRIDGE at the entrance to Coal Harbour. It is named for Francis Brockton, a British naval engineer and member of the crew that surveyed the harbour in 1859. The HASTINGS MILL logged the point in the 1860s.
